Automatic HTTPS & HTTP/3

Certificate automation and modern transports in the server.

UWAS v0.11.31Release notes reviewed October 22, 2026Upstream reference

Let the server manage certificates

Set ssl.mode to auto on the domain and configure your ACME contact address. UWAS handles certificate acquisition, renewal and the HTTP-to-HTTPS redirect. DNS and network reachability remain prerequisites.

Configuration exampleyaml
global:
  acme:
    email: hello@example.com

domains:
  - host: example.com
    type: static
    root: /var/www/example.com
    ssl:
      mode: auto

Enable HTTP/3

QUIC uses UDP on the HTTPS port. UWAS advertises HTTP/3 with Alt-Svc. Open UDP 443 alongside the standard TCP HTTP and HTTPS listeners.

Configuration exampleyaml
global:
  http_listen: ":80"
  https_listen: ":443"
  http3: true

Inspect certificates

Use the CLI certificate list and dashboard to inspect certificate state. For advanced ACME and DNS provider configuration, consult the full upstream configuration.

Terminalshell
uwas cert list
uwas doctor
